We love this set of Mikasa bone china. We bought it to replace another Mikasa set that has a metal lining on every plate. We specifically wanted one that was dishwasher and microwave safe. The artwork on the plates is beautiful and looks much better in person. The plates are lightweight and much lighter than our equivalent size ceramic plates. They didn't stain after we ate curry on them. We hand washed and also washed them in the dishwasher. They came out perfect both times. If I can edit my review later, I'll try to add some photos. I wanted purple dishes and these were great. I’ve had the same dishes for 47 years so I was due for a change. The bowls are very deep and the sandwich plates are a bit smaller than I’m used to, but actually work great so I don’t fill up my plate and can cut calories. They go thru the dishwasher just fine.
