The chair itself is exactly what I wanted. Kicking back to recline is easy , doesn't take much and sitting back up is simple. Now I'm barely 5 ft, weight 138lbs. I really do not recommend this chair for tall people or heavy set people. When I lay back my head sits at the top of the chair and my feet hang off the chair. So I can't imagine this chair being comfortable for tall people or bigger people. It is perfect for a small person like myself. But hey I guess if anyone wants to take a chance by all means. Im very pleased with these chairs. Delivery was fast and the look is even better than I expected. The seat is very firm but probably will relax over time. I did not think this chair was going to be comfortable after we put it all together, but it actually is very comfortable. And it looks really sleek and beautiful! My only challenge is that the feet are flat, which is not a bad thing, it just makes it look smaller than the rest of my furniture.
