Not sure if it was intended for this, but there are also little slots on the back of the light that allowed me to easily mount it on my wall where I plan to sit for calls. Really worked out well! This is a solid lamp. When I was assembling it, I was impressed with how solid it felt. The base is weighted and the pieces screwed together tightly. It has a foot pedal and a remote to power it. A really nice little spotlight that adds a bit of fun design. I was looking for a floor light that would be able to provide a good amount of light for my sewing table. This is absolutely perfect! It doesnt have a huge amount of light if you were using it for a more practical lamp, but has more of a focused spotlight which could really help accent certain areas in your home. This would look great in a reading room, or in my case, behind my sewing table where I do crafting. It arrived in a few pieces and needed assembly. For me, this was a little tricky to put together, the stand for the light is so thin that it was hard for me to get a good grip on it to twist it into place. But, I was able to get it all together. The base for this lamp is very heavy! So, be careful moving it. I assume the base is heavy to prevent the much thinner stand from tipping over. The light fixture can be adjusted up and down for a more focused area of light. The foot switch is a great touch! Its easy to turn it on and off. Did an office makeover and this lamp with the coat rack was perfect!! It’s super slim which is great for smaller spaces but yet still very sturdy. The design is very nice and went well the aesthetic of the office. I also thought the chain to turn the lamp onoff was a nice vintage touch.
