This mat is smooth on one side and grinding on the other. When your floor is smooth, please use the grinding side facing down. If your floor has texture, please use the smooth side facing down. Because of long-term transportation and weather changes, the mat is irregular when it is just taken out. Please iron it with boiled water, and then put the mat down and press it with heavy objects for 3-5 days.
