My home.office is in a furnished basement with floor tiles from the 50s. I first got a regular plastic mat. That thing drove me crazy by always moving out of place and curling up. I recently updated my desk so I started to look for alternatives to the old school rubber mats. So glad I found this. It has a backing underneath that keeps it in place. It is thin and lightweight so my chair glides over the mat with no issues. It cleans up nicely. I spilled water on it one day and it beaded up from the waterproof protection.
