I am almost positive that they lied in the description that this is solid wood (the inside looks MDF) and the off-gassing is so bad even after a week that it is giving us a really bad headache. The materials feel like cheap MDF because it’s super light (I am a small woman but was able to carry the entire box inside with one arm). But I guess it was cheap so you get what you pay for. Amy. The TV cabinet Looks great and sturdy. The wood print is very high quality and realistic. My only wish is that the hinges were stronger or slow closing, because of this Im planning to mount it above a tv and i purchased some pneumatic struts to hold them open. The box arrived with some light damage and soaked cardboard but the plastic wrap and Styrofoam protected the parts from any damage. This is a very nice piece of furniture. It arrives in pieces in a very heavy box and when you unwrap it looks a little intimidating to construct. The reality is it was very easy to do. The instructions were so very clear and every single thing is numbered and labeled for easy identification ( they also supply extra parts). All you need is a phillips head screwdriver and about 45 mins of your time and you will be done. The drawers glide very smoothly and the extension just sits on top and is easy to adjust.
