It is designed to look like a solid beam without weight. The distressed beams are painted either black or white and have the edges sanded over and a brown stain/wax applied for a distressed look. The distressed beams will not be a solid color. Easy to install utilizing a French cleat mounting bracket which is included. Screws are not included. You will need to purchase 3" screws for the application you will be attaching the bracket to. Wood is considered a combustible material. Heat clearances must be adhered to. If installing over a fireplace, check your local building codes and the manufacturer's instructions for your specific fireplace insert or stove.

I’m very impressed with this floating console. I actually used it as a fireplace mantel, and it worked perfectly for what I had in mind. It feels very sturdy and well built, and the finish looks elegant and much more expensive than I expected. Installation was straightforward, and once mounted, it feels solid and secure. The clean, modern design looks great above the fireplace and adds a finished, polished look to the room. Overall, I was genuinely surprised by the quality for the price.
