For centuries, tuned bells have been suspended in homes and temples to ward off evil and attract good luck and prosperity. In 1979, Grammy(R) Award-winning musician and instrument designer Garry Kvistad created the first Woodstock Chime from an aluminum lawn chair he found in a landfill. Fascinated by the Scale of Olympos, a 7th-century pentatonic scale that can’t be played on a modern piano, Garry cut and tuned the lawn chair tubes to the exact frequency of the ancient scale. The Chimes of Olympos was the first of Woodstock Chimes Wind Chimes and is still one of our best-selling, musically-tuned windchimes. These new Galaxy fountains are truly amazing! What you can't see are the beautiful iridescent and metallic colors that are in abundance in these panels. And Sound! They sound like a brook, or a stream, and a bit like rain. It's a very tranquil sound, not too quiet, and not Niagara.

This fountain is very easy to assemble, producing a steady stream sound that can be heard at distance, but drowned out by moderate traffic noise, and a heavy amount of splash. This fountain has heavy components and may require lifting assistance.

Pretty well made fountain. The only issue is the pump (even at the lowest setting) pushed the water out much too fast causing an excessive amount of spillage and a non-soothing sound.
