Seems pretty sturdy. Assembly took 2 hours because of the amount of screws. I was able to assemble by myself, but there were a couple of moments where it was a balancing act and I could have used an extra set of hands. This clothing rack is good but it is very light overall. I did not attach it to the wall. I would recommend that you anchor it with heavier items on the bottom racks. You can build it on your own but recommend 2 people to put it together. You also need a small screwdriver for the very last assembly piece for the metal cross-bar poles (attached in the back after you stack the bottom and top shelfs together). Screwdriver not included with packaging but does come with everything else, including the L-shaped hex key.
