This is a solidly built and handsome piece of furniture—it looks good on the wall and best of all for us, it has a space below that is tall enough to allow a good number of books to be arranged, upright and spine out. By the same token, make sure you have the room for it because as floating nightstands go, they are on the larger size (to accommodate all those books, natch). The height of the unit is 17 inches, which is much taller than most other such pieces. We have a tall storage bed that puts the top of the mattress at 33 inches off the floor, which is the perfect height for these nightstands (though it does mean having to vault into bed at night and rappel down in the morning!). Handy little shelf for a tight spot! I really like the look of this shelf, and it’s very functional. I have a small space, with one nightstand on one side of a queen bed that really needed a nightstand on the other side. However, I just didn’t have the space. This little table allows for a space to place a phone or a glass of water. It’s nice looking and well made. Installation was easy, but I don’t feel like the screws go far enough into the wall for it to be very sturdy. I do have hollow walls, so I’m going to have to change the screws to make it more ssecure. I placed some items on it for the picture, and when I did the shelf came out from the wall a bit.. Sandra.
