I could be the "Wayfair Queen". I have ordered and received many items and they have all been as described or better. Happy with all of them, however, the lights for these corner shelves require 3 batteries each so a total of 9 batteries to operate the lights. I'm not one of those who think that a product has to be perfect to earn 5 stars. This lamp has some quirks but it is wonderful enough to earn my 5 stars. The Pros are: - The biggest pro in my opinion is that it has settings memory and can be flipped on by just running current to it. No need for the remote every time. This means that you can plug it to one of those switch controlled outlets and use that as your controller. This is a particularly big deal as many of these led lights with options require you to use their own switch to turn them on. - It's gorgeous - It's inconspicuous and low profile - It offers both warm light (yellowish glow) and cold light (white glow) color temperatures - It is dimmable - Does not look cheap or tacky Some of the Cons are: - It comes in only one color (black). I very terribly wanted white and I imagine that most people would too because their ceilings are white, but black is all they offer at this time apparently. - The light cannot be flush with your ceiling because of the hanging mechanism. Pros: simple, functional, solid wood, super lightweight, easy to install, comes with extra screws, anchors, round stickers to hide hardware, and little levels for installation. Con: the solid wood is very soft and easy to dent or damage, so these shelves will need to be handled carefully and not knocked around. Con: the gap in the back corner is too small to fit a standard plug through, even when I took one of the shelves and sawed a bit of the corner off to make the gap bigger. Neutral: because these shelves are corner shelves, keep in mind that you will have to level two planes (back-to-front and left-to-right) when installing.
