The floating shelf looks exactly like the pictures—10/10! It's beautiful, sturdy, and looks great once it's installed. The instructions said there were 14 steps, but it definitely felt like there were a lot more. Even so, one person was able to put it together, although it took a little over 3 hours. The drawers were a bit finicky to get aligned, but with some patience we were able to get them working properly in the end. We bought an 85" TV and wanted this 70.8" wide, Light Oak, floating tv console to hide cords and other small electronics inside the cabinet for a clean look. The back has a wooden panel so we used a saw and cut out an opening where our outlets are on the wall. It is very heavy, so make sure you have something to hold it up on while you drill into the studs in the wall. Installation takes a while and I would definitely recommend 2 people. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Having this console with fireplace really set the mood and the focal point of my living room. Friends are impressed by it. Quality construction and well built. The drawers are actually drop down doors and there is only 3 on the shorter version that I purchased not 4 as stated in description. I’m actually liking the drop down doors better than drawers as it maximizing space inside a small compartment and the door hinges and soft close hardware are quality upgrades. Fully assembled was exactly that … open the box and hang the unit. Well packaged with plenty of protection from the rigors of shipping … and they got it out for delivery in very short order. Had it in hand 3 days after I ordered. Well mostly in hand … had to retrieve it from my neighbor as Fed-X failed to get it to my door. Overall pleased with the quality of the furniture.. David.
