I have been looking for just the right pieces to enhance the area over my mantel and these fit the bill. Installation entails using two screws to apply a plate which the lights fit over. It took around four hours to charge them initially; I can't speak to how well they hold a charge as we didn't really purchase them for extra light. Charging is as easy as charging your phone and they come with two charge cords. They do have dimmers and a remote. Picture on wayfair site is slightly misleading. I should have read the description regarding the shade color. It is white not amber as it appears on the website. It was also a little tricky getting the shade to center on the base due to the round metal fixture to hold the shade in place easily moved the shade to the side.
