These were perfect! I actually drilled holes in the wood on top of my pool fence and set them through the holes about 6 feet apart and on either side of the gateway ,instead of putting them in the ground, and it looks really cool at night. Edit despite being cheaply made they really do put off a nice flame like glow. For that we love them. One was broken when I opened the package. They are very cheaply made. They are charging in the sun. Ill know soon how the lighting is. I recently ordered 2 other types of solar lights and paid about half of what these cost. It is very nice however hardwiring is not an option for me. The small light that is powered by the solar battery does not put off very much light. It is very dim compared to other solar lights I have on my property. Since I was installing mine on a wood rail I had to find 4 screws that were long enough to fit the base.
