This is a nice sturdy desk. It does take hours to put together but the instructions are easy to follow and very accurate. I Highly recommend this desk. This is exactly what I expected. It was easy to put together. Total build time was about 20 - 30 minutes for 1 person. High quality materials. all hardware was provided. The height adjustment works beautifully and quietly, and programing the memory buttons was simple. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the edge of the desk is a hard 90 degrees rather than a beveled edge. They didn't show up until 4pm that day. Third - the instructions are clearly from outside this country...which isn't a big deal as long as they are clear and accurate...they were neither. Mislabelled parts in the manual, one entire instruction manual for the desk wasn't included (or was never made) and then there were several steps where I realized "I should have been told to do this 5 steps ago". I, at first, thought the lift was defective but realized the issue when assembling the second desk. I had to partially take apart the first one to cut the plug out. This Inbox Zero Lorentz sit‑stand desk showed up in two very heavy boxes (around 90 lbs each), so the delivery alone felt like a mini workout. Building it solo with ADHD took a few hours and a couple of “rewind and fix” moments, but the instructions were clear—I just managed to overlook a few things along the way. Once assembled, the quality really shows. The drawers and cabinet close cleanly, the desk raises and lowers quietly and smoothly, and the larger size gives me plenty of room for both work and gaming. The only confusing part was the wire hiders underneath—usually there are markings for screw placement, but this one had none. I also wish the cabinet had cable holes in the back or middle. Got this for my son’s room. I put a 1.25” butcher block top on it. The desk works great and lifts and lowers smooth. I have purchased other products from this company. Be aware that the 55” measurement is for the desk part only. The drawer area is not included in this measurement. The desk itself is good. Lots of space on the top level for two (or three) monitors. Plenty of workspace on the desk. Standing function a big plus and works well. The only thing I don’t like is that the bottom drawer isn’t a file folder. The drawer could have been made deep enough for this feature but for some reason it was not included in the design. Came well packaged. A few pieces chipped (small) and some dirty (cleaned up well).
