Assembly took less than 10 minutes. The lamp is made of lightweight metal with some plastic and although it's not made extremely sturdy it will definitely offer the extra light I need to sew. It has several power choices for the light, a weighted base, and an electrical plug for power. I intentionally chose this light because I thought it would provide more light for sewing and it absolutely does! The top is bendable and adjustable enabling the light to be directed exactly where you need it.
