It is very nice and more sturdy that I thought it would be. We didn’t bolt it to the deck because we didn’t want to drill into Trex. But we did bolt it to the house which worked good. The instructions are a little confusing in some parts because the pictures are tiny. And after I sliced my finger pretty good on the metal roof, I understood why they give you gloves. Razor sharp. Took two professionals 11 hands-on hours to complete. Instructions claiming it takes 3 hours is a said joke - takes 2 hours just to unpack all the parts and peel plastic coating off the roof panels. Maybe there’s a better way to design it or preassemble some so it doesn’t all fall on the customer. Bigger issue I have is that there are no covers for the hardware at the feet - pretty ugly. I wasn’t sure this could be as perfect as it is considering the affordable price. It has exceeded expectations. Other reviews have mentioned the difficult assembly directions. I found the directions to be sufficient and was able to assemble the pergola properly, in a reasonable amount of time. Allow most of a day to do it. Having two people to assist you makes the construction of the pergola much easier and safer. Particularly important as the various parts are put together and erected.
