This is a solid piece of furniture. It’s not some cheap “put it together yourself” desk. The actual desk part arrives as a solid piece, you only need to attach the legs. The top is a heavy board that is edge and finger joint glued together and finished in veneer. The legs are also fingerjointed boards. It generally looks nice, but the finish is quite sloppy. there are some rough spots where it was not thoroughly sanded too. I purchased this table because it was on sale. This desk is really beautiful and incredibly easy to assemble. It does require 2 people though bc the tabletop is solid wood. Very heavy. I also didn’t realize that the one end of the table does not attach the the lower part. It just rests on top it basically uses its own weight and it stays put. The only issue I had is shipping. Wayfair said it would deliver in 2 days. I then get an email saying the dimensions are too big for FedEx so it had to ship freight and it took 2 weeks instead of the 2 days like their website said. Nice desk. Went with grey color and like it. Very heavy box and material. Material feels like it is made from that plastic that picnic or school tables are made with. Wood grain look is nicerealistic. I don’t think it will scratch easily. Because there are two configuration options it is quite confusing, mainly the drawer part, but holes lined up just fine.
