This duvet set is very soft and cozy. It added just the right amount of masculinity to our bedroom for my husband. The 8 ties inside were a feature I was looking for to keep the insert from shifting. Just a note on size, the duvet is 12 wider than a normal King size insert, so I have to return the insert I purchased and order one from the same company that makes the duvet so it will fit properly edge to edge. Great solid duvet cover with shams. Purchased for teen boy. Did not smell any worse than a set of super expensive organic bamboo sheets we received the same day. They are in fact blue, just a very dark blue/grey but mostly blue (headboard of bed is dark grey for comparison). I am very happy with this duvet cover. If you want black and grey, this isn’t it. The color is a rich dark brown. The lighter stripes are a golden beige and the grey is a warm grey.
