For a homeowner that has downspouts that are extended at the ground or downspouts that go directly into the ground. The automatic diverters are made from upcycled vinyl fence post covers and attach directly to our rain barrels via an attachment hose. Universal size automatic rain water diverter to fit either a 2" x 3" or 3" x 4" downspout. Barrel will fill when empty. Once barrel is full the rainwater will be diverted back to the original downspout automatically. 12" Hose is provided.

This replacement kit for the Oatey Mystic Rainwater Collection System includes a 4 ft. high-flow hose to connect the diverter to the collection container and an outlet port plug for stopping the flow of water from exiting into the hose or barrel. I used these brass fittings on my rain collection barrels and they are exactly what I was looking for.
