Thais entertainmentbook shelf unit came in 4 huge heavy boxes. Thank goodness my husband had help from my visiting daughter otherwise we would have never gotten them in the house. Hubby opened the first box, hoping to find directions and hardware. We finally found them in box 3. If you like hardware, you will love putting this unit together. My husband discovers all boxes have pieces that go with each aspect of the unit so we would not have room in our living room for assembly. While moving box one down the stairs leading into the garage, my husband pulled his back out. The box landed safely. My daughter and I managed to get to the kitchen. The fireplace is beautiful, but one of the logs in the heater is broken and hasn’t been replaced as yet. Wayfair is great about helping their customers, so I know it will be replaced soon. This is beautiful for the space in the bedroom. It is 59” across and the mantle is 64”. It was extremely easy to assemble. The screws for attaching the firebox are easy self drilling screws, so don’t have pre- drilled holes. As others said, it is top heavy and wants to fall forward. A bottom shelf inside horizontally might fix the instability. Company should work to improve this design flaw. I found a door wedge on both sides secures it in place. Will probably exchange to clear ones. I didn’t want it secured to the wall yet with the enclosed anti-topple devise so I can change the room around. Definitely needs securing in place though. For permanence, I would use inconspicuous L brackets. The bigger Real Flame Alcott 75” is stable having a bottom to it. Yes this is my second Real Flame purchase! Caulking the crevices gives it the carpenter complete built in look. Did not get it for the heat, just the flame aesthetic. I do use the timer feature. The stone parts came in one box, the mantle piece in another, and the heating element/fireplace in the third. It was so easy to setup! The entire unboxing, putting it together and cleanup took just about 1 hour. I do recommend a second person to help with setup because it is a big fireplace over 5 feet wide and 4 feet tall. The fireplace comes with a remote control and you can change the color of the fire, the intensity of the heat, the brightness of the flame and it turns on and off with the push of a button. You can also use the fireplace without the heater turned on if you just want to enjoy the ambience of the fireplace. IIt is recommended for use in 120 volt 3-prong outlets. This is a beautiful fireplace! It came quickly in one large, heavy box that contains several smaller boxes. It was much easier to carry the smaller boxes inside. The assembly took roughly 2 12 hours with one person and a power drill. The instructions are clear and very easy to follow. You will assemble the entire fireplace upside down, except for the logs. If youre doing it by yourself, make sure youre able to lift heavy items. I had to ask for help to turn it right-side up because I wasnt confident I could do it by myself without damaging it. After placing right-side up, its easy to maneuver on hardwood floor. The flame has one flickering color setting (multi-colored with orange and blue), 3 glowing logs, and 5 levels of brightness and flame speed. You can adjust with the remote or buttons on the firebox. The flame can be used with or without heat. There is a timer that you can set between 30 minutes and 9 hours. The heat comes out of a blower on the top left and adjusts easily based on desired temperature from 62 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit (you can also change this to Celsius). The blower isnt especially loud, similar to a standing fan. I didnt turn it on for long since its almost summer but it heated up quickly. The background can be the brick look or just black. The fireplace is very sturdy, easily holding my 58in TV and is the perfect height to watch from my bed. The storage above the fireplace is bigger than it initially looks. The drawer opening is 6 in tall but the inside is 9in tall x 34in wide x 11in deep. I wanted storage big enough to hold a Wii game system and game discs (and it does). I am really happy with the look of the fireplace mantel and insert. The title suggests its solid wood and Id agree that parts are. However, the top was chipped and was not solid wood underneath.
