I love this lockbox! I have been looking for a fireproof lockbox to keep my important documents in. This one is a great size — you can fit papers, envelopes, etc. with plenty of room on top for larger items. It also has straps on the top of the lid to hold things you want to grab easily or don’t want banging around the box. It’s also definitely very heavy, as you would expect from something fireproof. The safe arrived damaged from the carrier. I was assured by Sanctuary that the safe left their warehouse in perfect condition so they could do nothing to help me. The safe is well built and locking mechanism works well. Since the damage did not affect the function of the safe (cosmetic) and was not visible where I placed it I decided to keep it as Wayfair offered me a discount. I want to start off by saying this is my 4th purchase from Wayfair and it has been the only delivery with a hiccup. My safe arrived with a few black marks on the exterior and the inside needed some cleaning, so the delivery wasn’t perfect. But honestly, the way Sanctuary handled it is exactly why I’m leaving five stars. I reached out to customer service and they immediately gave me options they would arrange to take the safe back and issue a full refund, or I could keep it and receive 20 off my purchase. I decided to keep it because the safe itself is beautiful and exactly what I wanted. I asked if they could tell me the paint color so I could touch up the marks myself, and instead, they offered to send me a bottle of matching paint. Things don’t always arrive perfectly. To me, what matters is how a company responds when something goes wrong. I dealt with actual humans who were helpful, responsive, and genuinely wanted to make it right. The safe is beautiful, I’m happy with my purchase, and based on the customer service alone, I would absolutely purchase from Sanctuary again and recommend them to others. BUYER BEWARE!!! Although the item itself is good quality it is NOT what I ordered. I ordered a 3 Cubic foot fireproof safe and was sent a 1.24 Cubic foot. When I contacted Mayfair about the discrepancy I was offered only $36 refund or return for the full refund. Maybe Mayfair needs too be educated on false advertisement.
