Love the new shower unit. I opted to not have it hidden inside the wall as it was so beautiful exposed. The sunflower overhead shower is all I didn’t know I needed. As well as the hand held attachment. Previously had only one knob for temperature, now we have much better control as we can mix ourselves using a separate knob for hot and another for cold. Hannah. The brushed gold looks great. The only complaint I have is that the spout is so close to the wall the water rushes onto the side of my tub and spills out of onto the floor if I’m not careful. I’ve had to get used to the change. Maybe there is an extension somewhere? Would be helpful.. Tina. Bastrop, TX. Mon Apr 11 2022

Ideal for retrofit or renovation, the Retro-Fit Complete Shower System installs easily and quickly. Simply replace the existing shower arm and add the system components without altering any in-wall plumbing. Once installed, it’s easy to use; a quarter-turn of the diverter lever (located at the bottom of the shower bar) switches water flow from the showerhead to the hand shower or you can have both outlets on simultaneously. Grohe StarLight is a flawless, robust, long-lasting finish designed to be extremely resistant to dirt and scratches. It features an innovative cooling channel to reduce the risk of scalding.

Very nice shower system. It can be a bit finicky to put together as the tile / wall anchors tend to not go in straight and will kick all different directions. Hands down the biggest complaint is the use of the T-10 torx bit screws / bolts used to hold the main / top fitting. The T-10 torx depths are shallow and become very easy to strip. Because of how tight the wall anchors are when inserting into the 5/16" pilot hole, it makes turning the screw / bolt difficult and easy to strip. Couple suggested improvements for Grohe would be a make the T-10 torx bit screw / bolt deeper so stripping becomes less of a potential issue. It would be nice if Grohe sold the diverter handle and cap as a replacement part as it is one of the main wear items and easy to replace. Last suggestion would be to have a longer main pipe then the 25" version. A 36" version would be perfect. My unit appears to be that long because of the 6" extension for the rain shower head. Outside of that, the rest of the system is very well made. Time will tell how it holds up but excellent as far as one of the very few retrofit shower systems out there today. Would certainly recommend to anyone considering the conversion. Thanks Wayfair. Carlos. Springfield, VA. Mon Nov 03 2025

This was an open box purchase and I can't believe I scored this shower system! Unbelievable value for the open box price. I purchased this for a home build so I have not installed or used yet. ***Post installation review: Sometimes something too good to be true actually is. I would not rate this 5 stars if I had a "re-do", I would rate it 3 stars. The system works and it's almost as pictured. The set came wrapped and I checked to make sure everything was included and it was. The problem is that everything was polished EXCEPT for the bar - it was a brushed finish. So now I have a shower system that has two finishes. It may not bother some people, but it bothers me. I just wish that information would have been disclosed. Shame on me for not fully unwrapping everything! My tip is to fully unwrap everything and fully check as much as you can.. Suzanne. Millbrook, AL. Thu Jan 28 2021
