I used them in a different way… mainly for safety so if my daughter does in the couch she can’t climb over the side rail. At night my deck turns into a high end private outdoor space. Rustic split bamboo slat fences have been used for centuries in many regions of the world where bamboo is available. It can be used on its own or attached to cover a chain link fence for added beauty and privacy. They are inexpensive and easy to install. Bamboo slats or split bamboo fences are woven together with black nylon coated wire, as opposed to other split bamboo slat fences in the market that usually tie their fences with bare metal wire exposing unsightly metal and rust. The fence is semi-opaque, which provides some privacy. The unique color of the bamboo slats makes it one of the most gorgeous and striking, looking bamboo fences on the market today. The bamboo slats we use are about 1/2" wide. They are packed in a roll for convenience in shipping and setting up. Due to the natural material used, the color will vary and may not look exactly like the photos shown. These fences are not solid, and you WILL be able to see through them.

Used this to complete a screen around our HVAC and backup generator as required by the township. This is expensive compared to other screen options. However, this screen is much more substantial than any of the alternatives I've seen. Others are perhaps 1/8" thick, bend like cardboard, and can be cut with a utility knife. This is almost 1/2" thick, almost impossible to bend, and requires a table saw or circular saw to cut. The thickness allowed us to construct a removable screen and frame, which will make servicing our two units as needed much easier for the HVAC and propane companies.. James. PA. Thu Dec 25 2025
