The, “twist to lock” the components together should be stronger and more solid. The finial is made of plastic, two pieces snapped together. I learned this when the finial dropped and split in half. Love these. They are small and made of plastic. They come with hanging hardware, however we chose to use a two sided tape to put them up. We need to make sure that the location we placed them in will get enough sun to charge. We also feel that we can spread them a little further apart and still get the same effect.
