This product is ok. It's a little tough to work with, not very flexible and comes wrapped in a coil, like a snake. You have to let it soften up and unwind it before you can work with it. Use your hands to get it to conform to the wood planks. I used drywall screws to hold it in place. Since it was in the ceiling you can't see the screws. I don't think that glue would have worked, too much resistance. It's really expensive for what it actually is, which is a strip of rubber with knobs on it, but it does the job of hiding the seams in my wood ceiling beams and pretending to be wrought iron straps.. These brackets look great, paint up well (I got the primed only), and seem sturdy enough right now. But the last ones I bought - very similar design - I had custom made and the welds were definitely much more beefy and solid all the way around on those. These brackets appear to have just 2 tack welds where the curved part of the bracket meets each flat plate. We'll see if they hold up. They are not loose in any way though.. Nancy.
