It's perfect for the purpose we needed it: To hold a medium-sized TV but under a window. We didn't want to totally block the window so the height is just right. The wide length makes it easy to shift away from the window if necessary or to be seen from a specific chair in the room. It's very pretty, and solid. We put wicker baskets in the open slots below to hide stuff. The electric cords are easy with the open back. As would be components. I found it funny (not haha. To keep the genuine rustic look of this product we use reclaimed wood and we're always sure to make sure the surfaces are sanded as smooth and splinter-free as possible. Please keep in mind that no two pieces will look the same and the natural wood color will vary in shade, texture, and tone (some grayer and some browner). This is the result of natural wood weathering. Also, please keep in mind that old nail holes, knot holes, and cracks are a part of what adds character to these one-of-a-kind pieces and can be expected.
