This console is so beautiful! It is very well made and it’s heavy and very sturdy. It is definitely worth the price. I purchased the light colored wood, to replace a charcoal gray one I had before that. I wanted to make the room brighter looking and not so dull like it was, and this piece definitely achieved the look I was going for. The color of the wood is exactly as shown in the picture on Wayfair. As most things I buy on Wayfair, it’s even more beautiful in person. It was very easy to put together. The directions that came with it were very easy to follow and my husband, who is the one who assembled it, had no problems at all. I love the storage behind the doors. Behind both doors there is a shelf, so you actually have the floor of the unit and a shelf, giving you 2 shelves behind each door, but the shelves are removable if you have something tall you would like to store. I am not using it as a media center, so I am using the middle 2 shelves for decorative pieces, but there are pre-cut holes to place wires through if you you are planning on using it as a media center. I love the farmhouse style, demonstrated by the 2 barn doors. I decorated this room using modern as well as farmhouse, and this console fits in beautifully. We love this buffet. We had bought a black one and a white one. The directions are 95 excellent, there were a few challenges, but overall, it wasn’t difficult to put together. The 5 that we caution people on is step 16 and 17 regarding the second phase of putting the drawer slides in. These steps were difficult to understand. You have to bring the pieces to the work area to figure it out. We both were working on a piece at the same time and came across the exact same issue. We enjoy putting items together like this and saving money, but this one took so long, about six hours, (there are 37 steps for assembly) that we agreed it would’ve been better to have Wayfair do it. for the hundred bucks a piece..
