It’ll take some getting used to but the aesthetics are pleasing to my eyes. I went from dark cherry finish with box springs down to a distressed white platform bed. I can’t stop looking at it every time I walk into my room! Disclaimer It took 2 people approx 3 hours to assemble. If you’re doing it by yourself it’ll take much longer. It’s easier with at least 2 people and (if you’re the 2nd person go ahead and find you an allen wrench, it’ll go by faster than our 3 hours). Tip The box is heavy and much heavier if you’re going upstairs, so get some muscles to help you. Also check off each item as you take it out of the box, to make sure nothing is missing.. This bed frame is great and looks to be made of nice material. The directions completely miss a few steps (putting the actual headboard piece onto the support posts), so I ended up having to undo some parts and redo them. I still couldn't get the headboard fabric piece to align exactly with the side posts. Assembly took around an hour. Also, the wrench that is provided is too big for the space the bolts are supposed to go, so it was very difficult to tighten everything properly. The bed does look exactly like the photos and the materials seem durable. I don't love that the support pieces underneath the bed are unfinished cheap wood, but that's pretty common. This picture is what the bed frame currently looks like 2 years after purchase! It still looks the exact same! We also have two large dogs who sleep with us and there are no additional scratches from them either. I have rearranged our bedroom plenty of times and I’ve never had an issue moving it (with the help from my husband.) I remember I was able to put it together myself super quickly as well.
