The sink is designed to sit above counter and includes a hole for your faucet. Note: a regular height, single hole faucet should be used with this sink, not a vessel faucet. The rim on the sides of the sink are 3/4 in. thick, front apron is 1-1/8 in., the back rim measures 4 in. and the bowl is 16-1/2 in. x 11-3/4 in. This sink is light weight and high on style. It's perfect to drop in the countertop. This sink is very dark and will stay that way as long as you don't use anything stronger than soap. If you use something like Barkeeper's Friend, you can get the bright bronze color. HOWEVER, that will break through the protection of the tarnished patina and return it to a "living" metal. The Quito oval sink is hand-hammered from 100% recycled copper by master artisans. Made from 18 gauge copper, the beautiful Quito has a warm antique finish and a flat lip allowing either drop-in or undermount installation.
