It's a VERY pretty fan. The blades are a very light gray wash look - high end. I got the Nickel finish motor. On/off via light switch and then the remote controls everything. Most fans I run at speed 1 for sleeping and that creates some air movement. But this fan doesn't push a lot of air, so i have to use speed 2 or 3 to get the same effect. This is in a guest room, which is rarely used, so that's fine for my needs. But if you need a fan that REALLY creates a breeze in a room, this is NOT the one. (Minus a star for that).. Tamara954. This is the 3rd fan I have ordered. That should let you know how pleased I am with the quality of this fan. I gave one as a gift and put one in our bedroom. The 3rd is for back up when I need another or as a gift. It is not noisy and adjusts to different heights. The fan head swivels just where you want to put it and stays in place. Cleans up easily as the front pops off for that purpose. The price on sale with Wayfair was the best I have found when reordering this fan.
