I love it! It looks like realistic logs during the day. And in the evening the glowing embers and flame effect look very realistic and amazing. I’m do agree with others that the crackling sound is not realistic so we don’t turn it on. This Chism Decorative Log set will be perfect in my unused fireplace which I used to place decorative birch logs in for aesthetic view. This log set is made of material that Is easily broken if hit against something; as one of the logs had come apart from its base, upon arrival; though it’s connection was a centerpiece nail. I have tried several electric log sets and been extremely disappointed. Nothing on the market that’s a log set looks close to being a real fire experience. But this Napoleon sets comes closest. I assembled it myself in about 30 minutes. Instructions were easy. The “glowing fire “ could be more realistic, the flames could be higher and wider and the blower on the heater could be quieter. I paid much more for other log sets that couldn’t hold a candle (or flame ) to this set. Terrific heater! We had an electric fireplace from another box store that the warming unit went bad in and I was unable to get any replacement parts for.
