This striking, durable doormat has thousands of coir bristles embedded in a rubber base that helps to capture and remove dirt and moisture from shoes. The non-skid rubber backing keeps the coir from shedding and keeps the mat in place. These doormats bravely stand up to any amount of foot traffic. Coir fiber is naturally mold and mildew resistant. These mats are made from renewable natural materials, coir, and rubber, and are environmentally friendly and biodegradable. For optimal results, the manufacturer suggests using this doormat in a sheltered area, such as a covered porch, and keeping exposure to extreme moisture and sunlight to a minimum. If the doormats are excessively exposed to the elements, some color transfer may occur onto natural stone, concrete, or other surfaces and stenciled designs may eventually fade. The texture of the fibers is normal and adds a special character to each individual mat.
