Works great! Most pet steps are not built for long dogs (dachshunds). These work great for her to get onto the couch and it folds up to an ottoman or seat when needed. The carpet on the steps is just stapled down so that looks a little cheap. But I would most definitely still buy it again. Sue. US. Tue Sep 22 2026

It was just what I was looking for, for my 4 lb yorkie! I have a 32" high bed and the top step comes right up to it! After getting a few pieces of cooked chicken out, she was trained and using it by herself in all of about 15 minutes! No tools to deal with and my husband and I had it put together in no time. Hint: We used a small rubber hammer to knock the pieces in the holes. At first I thought the price was too high, but now I'm glad I spent the money.. Carol. Hazen, AR. Tue Jan 21 2025

I bought these stairs for my 20 lb cat who has arthritis and has pain jumping down from the bed. I originally looked at stairs made specifically for cats, but they didn’t seem sturdy enough to support him. These stairs are sturdy, well made, and have held up great. The carpet has also held up really well. My cat uses them every single time he gets off the bed. I would definitely recommend these for anyone with a larger cat (or small dog).. Jessica. USA. Designed for everyday ease, it features one-handed operation and swings open 90 degrees in either direction—and closes automatically when opened at an angle of less than 90 degrees. Installation is quick and simple, with dual mounting holes for extra stability, and it fits door frames up to 96.5 inches high. Wall protectors prevent damage to your walls, and the adjustable width (30.3–38.2 inches/30.3-47.2 inches) ensures a snug, custom fit for your doorway. This versatile pet gate is perfect for doorways, stairways, and more—keeping your pets safely contained wherever you need them.

I do love the design of this gate. It’s so tall that my kitties can’t go over, around, through, or under. I even like the way it opens to let me go through, without having to negotiate a bottom rail to trip on. It locks securely and was easily assembled and carefully packed. It’s attractive and exceptionally useful. My only concerns: My doorway was not true. It apparently is a few millimeters wider near the top than bottom, so the center doesn’t meet the same way in the top as bottom. This is not the fault of the gate, so I did not deduct a star. My other concern is that there’s a lot of plastic parts. I wish all the components were made of metal. However, since I had no problem with the metal parts during the month I’ve used it, no deducted star there, either.. Janice. Durant, OK. Wed Jun 24 2026

Best of all, it's got a non-skid base that secures it on your floor, no matter how enthusiastically your pet climbs it.

Nice ramp. Good quality. Will my dachshund use it? Nope. That's the only reason I gave it less than 5 stars. So now it is in storage.... Beth. Shillington, PA. Sat May 30 2026

Has helped with getting my dogs on and off the bed without them hurting themselves by jumping off. We had to teach them how to use the stairs as they had never used them before so that took a little while, but eventually they got the hang of it. The only con of these stairs is that they’re a little wobbly and don’t have much hold on the back other than placing them against the bed. Would have liked a little more sturdiness to them, so the dogs felt a little more safe.. Melissa. IL. Sun May 13 2018

My dog is older with really bad joints. She is able to get up and down these stairs pretty easily. The only thing I don’t love about them is that the middle step where it folds up is a little flat so it can make them A little uneasy. However, I love how folds away when you don’t need them so it doesn’t take up too much space. Almost looks like a side table when folded up. Overall, nice stairs for my pup!. Andrea. Sumter, SC.
