Edit/Update for anyone else having this issue: The instructions tell you to pair with a bluetooth "Triones" and to install happy lighting. Even provides the qr code in the book to install this app. It seems that this vendor maybe changed their light strips to a different brand. This is a really nice bed. All solid wood. Very well packaged. No damage from shipping. I’m a 67 year-old woman and assembled it by myself. Instructions were very clear and screws were well labeled with a separate compartment for each group of the same size. Just two snags I ran into that might help someone else out: when installing the wooden “spacers” at the head of the bed, I would recommend pre-drilling holes for the screws. I ended up snapping the heads off the screws when trying to tighten them without pre-drilling. Was able to remove them with pliers and then drilled the holes. Much better! I had some screws of the same size to replace the broken ones. Went in much easier. The other issue was with the foot board. There are chunky wooden dowels that go into the sides of the footboard, with the other end of the dowels going into the legs. They fit into the footboard but the holes in the legs were not big enough. I ended up shaving down half the dowel with a box cutter blade to make it fit. Worked great. I read reviews and was pretty intimidated when I started building, but everything went well. I had all of the correct parts, and I found the directions clear.
