Well, we got this track very quickly and were excited to install it in our RV. It comes with several different options to hang it on a wall and even a way to cut it down to size! However, we ran into a snag. Our RV has an A/C unit in the ceiling, and we could not put this where we wanted to. We were going to try to bend it to make it go around the A/C unit, but these rails are SUPER strong and bending them is not an option, at all! We also thought about trying to suspend it from the ceiling, to go under the A/C. But we decided against that as the possibility of damaging the RV seemed like a very real possibility. Overall, the rails seem fantastic and there is not a negative we could find, other than in the planning stage. We will inevitably repurpose it somewhere, but please be warned that if you get this for an RV you need to take your unit into FULL consideration. There are MANY options for installing this, with more than enough options to have this put in a home. It just may not work for everyone’s RV situation and should be carefully examined before purchase as there are no ‘curved’ pieces and it will have to be hung in a straight line. Very hard to find narrow base brackets that allow hook part to rotate. This is the one! We used them vertically to put curtains in closet door frame (no more sliding doors for us. This non-standard installation required some modification - basically drilling into the hook part so the screw can carry the modest weight of rod and curtain. Fortunately, the hook is solid metal, not hollow and was able to accept the screw and carry the weight. This is the second time we purchased these brackets for a vertical install for a closet door curtain.
