This is the perfect size for crushing my herbs and spices. I have a large one made from onyx but I dont use it because Im afraid of chipping it. Its mostly a beautiful decorative piece because its so large. This one is much smaller and its made of marble so Im not worried about it chipping. It has a nice heft to it and its beautiful. This is a great product. I use it to make ginger, garlic, and chili paste, and it does a fantastic job of getting the texture just right. It has a nice weight to it and plenty of depth so ingredients don’t fly out.
