I wish I could buy one of these WONDERFUL mats for everyone to prevent slips and falls, even for pet-bathing. Just fyi I have a modern shower insert-style shower with a sloped floor for drainage. It has some (slippery) "texture" on the bottom but that did not help with being slippery as he11 when wet. This mat is amazingly secure. However if you wish to cut down the width of the mat - this may be a bit of a challenge as you will need to use a saw.
