It is very nice however hardwiring is not an option for me. The small light that is powered by the solar battery does not put off very much light. It is very dim compared to other solar lights I have on my property. Since I was installing mine on a wood rail I had to find 4 screws that were long enough to fit the base. Its a sphere that looks like the moon. It is made of an excellent water-resistant material. The size I chose is quite ideal for a large garden, where you place it will look very elegant and modern.
