The sturdy base has rubber feet to avoid scratching your surfaces and measures 28 3/4’’ long and 18 ½’’ wide, perfect for tabletop or in-cage use. This is a great play stand. It's made of hard plastic unlike some play stands that use wood. Which can be destroyed in a day's time with some parrots. I had a similar play stand to this one decades ago and thought they had been discontinued. I was happy to find it on Wayfair. Love it! It is a perfect size for our adopted u2. He has been living on his small cagetop (from his previous home) since we adopted him. He wouldnt go inside, so he remained in the quarantine room. We finally earned his trust, so we got him his castle to join the flock. My husband was busy, so I put it together alone. I used the top pieces to support it, so that I could get the bolts in. It worked out perfectly and took me just over an hour. My only complaint would be that AE included 5 food doors, but only 4 bowl holders to attach to those doors (and 4 bowls). Delivery was great.. Stupid cage for Stupid Parrots My birds, fairly intelligent, will be out of this in two seconds without extra locks, but that isn’t the deal breaker. There are Diagrams but no directions, no labels and an address for a video that didn’t play. Over all quality is not horrible, but one door hinge is broken and I had to use a mallet and a tiny crowbar tool to force a couple of pieces together. I’ve had parrots for 30 years and am experienced at putting cages together. This has been my worst experience. Before I would do it again, I would submit to an extra month of chemo, do my sister’s taxes and give up my left kidney. I did finally finish it by using zip ties to hold pieces loosely together and getting extra tools pictured to tap, whack, bend and pry. I didn’t pay for a high end cage, but adequate directions shouldn’t be too much to ask. UPDATE: I had to move the cage to another house. Disassembly must have bent other parts.
