It is 100% cotton, tufted, so the pile feels plush and cushioned underfoot and draws water in quickly rather than letting it pool on the floor. It measures 17"x30", a generous size for the front of a tub, shower or sink. A sprayed latex backing holds every piece in place on tile, hardwood, vinyl and linoleum, so nothing slides underfoot when you step out of the shower, and a rug pad underneath is recommended where you want a heavier grip still.
