I ordered the slate gray and they are definitely not gray if you're really looking for that color. Yes, they are expensive and worth every penny! I'm not sure WHY the title has the word "Sateen" in the description. These are the same SUPERIOR brand sheets I have purchased for 12-15 years and they are 100% Egyptian Cotton and sturdy not thin like many of sateen sheets are. Just got sheets and was disappointed with the color; on the website the "Mauve" color is shown as lavender. BEWARE, when sheets arrived, they are a true pink-taupe "Mauve" color.
