Our outer fits are made with the best wood species, so you do not have to worry about them degrading in a few years. Waydoor produces doors that are long-lasting.

The wood is beautiful. If you plan to stain it, carefully sand the joined pieces to remove the excess glue that will be obvious of you neglect this step. The wood is soft until treated so be careful of dings. That said, Wayfair is awful. Be sure to MEASURE the actual DOOR. I ordered the 30” and they sent a 28.” The box doesn’t have the size on it so I didn’t know until I was ready to install it, which was past the return window (I only inspected for damage on arrival). So I got stuck with a non-standard size door. Edit: Wayfair followed up with me and I returned the odd door. Thanks Wayfair for making it right. I have no issue purchasing from them again. Catherine. This solid wood-engineered door ageless design will add the great looks of a colonial past with the colors and finish of your choice to create a warm and cozy feeling. It comes with 3 coats of white primer so that you can add the finishing of your choice and it will look great, adding protection to the wood to resist for the years to come. This door is meant for internal use and has a trimming allowance of ¼-in on each side and 1-in on the top and bottom, please note that trimming will damage any finish or the primer, and any edge that was cut must be sealed or painted to prevent moisture from entering the wood.
