We were looking for valances or other treatments for our bathroom and bedroom windows, and determined these matched the window sill and crown molding in the rooms, so we used these as interior window headers. They are nicely proportioned....not too tall and not too deep. Easy to attach to the wall with 1x1 firring strips. Easy to paint to match trim. I ordered a 8 piece of the Royal -8-1/2 tall combination base & cap to replace the old column bases on 2 columns which originally was an exterior wood type that had severely rotted. The material came in quickly & the piece looked even nicer than I thought it would. All edges & profile were well formed with no chips are imperfections. Furthermore the molding was easy to cut miter ends on each of the 8 smaller pieces needed for the 2 column base wraps. A regular wood cutting saw & blade was used. It also was easy to fasten with adhesive caulk & a nail gun. The finished bases look identical to the original ones when installed/ painted but I do think this material will not rot as the original ones did & should last as long as the rest of the wood pieces of the column stay intact. I would recommend this product over any wood type. Although it is more expensive than wood - when you figure not needing a carpenter to change it out ever again it appears to be well worth it. I will plan to use more of this product as needed in the future. Thank you for providing this product.. Anonymous. Wed Jul 24 2024

Flat trim molding becomes a defining addition to simple door and window casings and a complimentary addition to larger enhancements. Flat trim molding addresses decorative improvements both inside and out. The durable and water-resistant nature of urethane allows for exceptional performance in exterior applications. Flat trim molding is non-porous. It locks out the moisture that causes warping, cracking and decay. Non-porous urethane products also hold paint well due to low moisture absorption. Flat trim molding is pre-primed and ready for finishing.

This item has a nice weight to it and seems very well made. Unfortunately, the depth is the wrong length but the width is perfect. I plan to use it for another door in the garage but trim down the width as the depth is perfect. I love the color. It came well packaged with a thin plastic over it to minimize damage. Overall, I would definitely recommend as long as you have your dimensions correct.. Petricia. East Stroudsburg, PA. Mon Oct 12 2026
