Really solid table—people are always shocked when they find out this was from Wayfair. Only downside is that after a year of use there does seem to be some knicks and chips then show up as white given the laminate costing, which makes it look cheaper than if it were truly solid wood. I love this table because it is a little more narrow than the standard dining table, and I love the fact that you can add or take away the leaf that is included! The table is very sturdy and feels very well built. The color is a rich golden hue, so it definitely pulls a little more of an ochre tone, which worked perfectly in my clients space. I recently received this solid wood dining table and overall, I’m very satisfied with the purchase. Here are a few details from my experience: Shipping & Packaging: The table arrived in one large, heavy box. It was packaged very securely, which I appreciated given the weight of the solid oak. Quality & Aesthetics: The material is excellent. You can feel the quality of the solid wood, and the color is beautiful—true to the online photos. It’s a sturdy, well-made piece of furniture. Assembly Tips: Assembly is mostly just attaching the four legs. However, I encountered two small issues: Manual Error: The included instructions were slightly inaccurate. They showed an external nut setup, but the actual product uses internal screws that thread directly into the legs. Hardware Issue: One of the leg’s internal threadings was a bit worn/damaged, making it difficult to align the screw. It took a lot of patience to get it started correctly—make sure not to force it, or you might cross-thread it. Tools: A simple hex key (Allen wrench) is included and is all you need for the job. We recently purchased the Joceline extendable sintered stone dining table and overall, I’m really happy with it. The tabletop is absolutely beautiful — the marble-like veining looks very high-end, and the finish reflects light in such a pretty way, especially near our windows. It definitely gives that elevated, modern luxury look. We paired it with black velvet chairs (also from Wayfair), and together it made a huge statement in our dining area. The table really anchors the space and looks even better once styled. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the baselegs — they sound a bit hollow, which was a little surprising compared to how solid and premium the top feels. It doesn’t affect functionality, but it’s something to note if you’re expecting a fully heavy, solid feel throughout. Can easily see two on each side when closed four on each side when open And with one at each end it accommodates 10. Package was shipped well and arrived without damage. The product appears to be well-made feels well constructed, and appears to be solid wood. You can tell where certain sections are joined and there’s inconsistencies in the stain. I would’ve given this product five stars, however the top of the table is not flat where the leaf insert joins. It’s a small lip where one side of the leaf joins and the finishes additionally, worn and discolored some. I lost my old 25 year old dining table during the remodeling project, so purchased this new table. I needed a long table for my large family. My designer consultant told me to buy an oval table for my space which I was reluctant to do at first. With the leaf in, it's perfect size for 8 chairs. It is an unusual wash out gray color, but since my oak floors are gray, it ended up matching pretty good. It took four off us to lift and carry from garage to dining, but was relatively easy to assemble. It is less wide than my old table but I think it makes for more intimate dinners. Update December 2025: with minimal use and a protective cover, this table has issues with the top. The inlay seemed to shrink? I added a photo of the gap. I only found out today when I removed the cover (it was time for a new one, which I have done once before because, again, minimal use). I am not even sure how to fix this... .... To be fair, this was just delivered. The table is solid and hefty. The color is very dark, almost a gray black, which is fine by me. You definitely need 2 people to put this together - I opted to have installation and I don't regret it! The table is big even without the leaf (see pic with chairs - yes, I have 8 chairs but took 2 out for a better pic). Either end space doesn't pull up close to the table because of the legs, but when you sit in the chair it is very comfortably spaced. Under the table, when sitting on the side chairs, it is very comfortable too, with decent elbow room (yes, even whithout the leaf and 3 chairs per side). Like others said, around the top's edge is a gap so you might need toothpicks to clean the groove, but it isn't obnoxious. The leaf gap is tight with the clamps in place, so that is also good. The extension mechanism is a chain wheel so it is smooth to pull apart. That said, i would assume it needs to be checked every so often. I can't speak to that since I just got the table.. Sheri. Beautiful color and details, easy to assemble with two people. It is heavier than it looks, seems very sturdy. I like the option to extend the table and it is smooth to use it. It does have less room for the legs if you put the chairs side by side in the longer part because of the table’s legs. The table is narrow so it will get in the way. I bought this table for daily use for 3 people and for 6 when hosting. For me it is not a dealbreaker. I left extended so I can have one chair on each side, that way is comfortable for everyone and I will make it work when I need 6 chairs. More than that it would be too tight.. Sheila.
