Great table! Super easy to assemble plus expand/contract (two switches to flip then pull out). It is quite heavy too be fair but that makes the extension more stable I think. Ideal for cozy spaces, this delightful Castellon Drop Leaf Rubber Solid Wood Dining Table offers traditional appeal with an efficient footprint. Made from solid rubberwood, this charming design features a clean-lined tabletop with four tapered square legs. A half-a-circle drop-leaf easily converts a two-person table to comfortably accommodate three, while the opposite straight edge allows you to place the table flush with a wall. To maximize space in the eat-in kitchen, start by rolling out a rustic linen area rug for a pleasant pop of pattern, then place this table by a brightly lit window to enjoy weekend breakfasts in the summer breeze. Top the table with a gingham runner and a hand-painted ceramic vase of freshly cut petunias for a floral centerpiece for any occasion.

Overall, this is a very nice table. I could not give it five stars because of the difficulty in putting the 12 screws for the hinges in. Although the instructions do not indicate a drill is needed to start the holes and then a drill is also needed to screw in the screws. Because the wood is not prepared for the screws, doing it by hand is not possible. It is easy to put together other than that. Everything was exactly as shown in the picture and it works out perfectly in a small unit. As I am 70 years old, it did take me one hour to put it together. But I did it myself!. Hazel. Sun City, AZ. For the price so far, so good. I find it hilarious that the ribbed wood pedestal is Velcrod to the table But it looks fine enough for my purposes. I bought the table more for looks, as it will rarely be used. Still, its very decent quality (as much quality as you can get from MDF and veneer), and seems sturdy with the extra middle support. Id say it seats 8 comfortably. If you have slimmer profile chairs, you could squeeze in 10 tightly.. Heather. Apache Junction, AZ. Fri Aug 28 2026

Super happy with this purchase. The dark finish and fluted base look gorgeous in person and give it a really elevated look. But what sold me is how practical it is—the base actually opens up into a hidden storage cabinet, which is perfect for keeping extra glassware and bar items handy. The leaf is super easy to pop in or remove when we have people over, and its awesome that theres built-in storage for it right under the tabletop. This Bachman extendable dining table is just what we needed! It's expensive but the quality is very good. It is a solid wood indeed and it fits perfectly in our space. We needed something that will work for our not so big dining area for everyday use but can be extended to use when there's a big gathering. We got a different set of dining chairs coz we needed more back support and this table and its bench matched perfectly with the different chairs we got. This purchase was big enough that full service assembly was free from the Wayfair guys so that was really helpful. It's quite heavy too. My husband and I absolutely love the look and how versatile the design is. If you want to achieve a modern, timeless or even farmhouse vibe in your house, this will fit your needs! 10/10 recommend..
