Fantastic purchase! First think is this is big and tall. Be prepared to get a lot of sand. I bought 300lbs. and it took it like nothing. Locate and place base begore filling for sure. We ordered this umbrella to provide shade over a portion of our above-ground pool so we'd have a place to get relief from the strong Florida sun. It provides plenty of coverage without shading the entire pool, which is exactly what we wanted. The umbrella was straightforward to set up and feels sturdy once assembled. The canopy provides excellent shade, and the ability to adjust the position helps keep the shaded area where you need it throughout the day. We've also been impressed with how well it handles wind. We've had some pretty strong gusts here in Florida recently and kept a close eye on it. It stayed firmly in place and never felt unstable. We've only had it for a short time, so I can't speak to long-term durability yet, but so far we're very happy with it. This umbrella turned out to be bigger than I anticipated. It was super easy to build, instructions were very clear. I did need help to attach the umbrella to the bottom stand but overall, it took about 40 minutes to put together.
