This cocotte can be cooked on gas, electric, ceramic, and induction cooktops, and is oven safe to up to 500°F. Not recommended for microwave ovens. Add water or oil to the pot and cook with low to medium heat. The extra-heavy lid helps to seal in the moisture and keeps the food flavorful. Wash and dry the enamel-coated cast iron cookware before first use. Allow the cookware to cool before washing. Hand wash with warm soapy water is recommended.
