We have a shoeless house so this small benchshoe organizer is perfect without being in the way. It would hold 8 pairs of my size 7 shoes or 6 of my BFs size 10.5. Only his flip flops will fit on top (my sneakers and low heels fit fine). High heels or don’t fit here and I doubt men’s size 11 or larger would fit. The cushion is loose and optional. We will likely add an adhesive if we don’t swap out. I addd contact paper inside to help with wear and tear. I love this bench. The seat is firm The whole bench seems very well-made. The wood is pretty. There is a vent on the floor in my entry and because of the wood slats in the shelves I was able to set it over the vent without blocking the airflow. The bench is not very wide, so it doesn’t stick out into my entry, but it’s wide enough to sit on and bend over to put on shoes. My husband has large feet and his shoes. Don’t stick out from the shelves. (Although one shoe in the photo is not pushed all the way in, so it appears to stick out) I was so surprised to realize how well the fabric matches my walls! Amazing quality, came really well packed and the only slight damage was one of natural wood split of the bamboo where one of the screw holes was drilled . The top of the bench is a nice herringbone pattern two tone brown and beige gray hue. Very well made, the screw holes on one side didn’t quite line up but a bit of pushing from one side ensured the screws went in. Took about twenty minutes to assemble and the bamboo is great quality and I like the break down of the sustainability of the bamboo as compared to wood. Purchased a different style of shoe stool before that had two levels of shoe storage and this one has the one level and then a comfy padded stool to sit on to change shoes.
