This is a good storage bench. The larger area has an adjustable optional shelf. The cushion is soft enough for extra seating but firm enough to be sturdy. I was able to put it together myself, but it was frustrating at times. Many of the holes aren’t drilled properly, making it hard to screw in things. The two doors for the larger part aren’t close enough, so you can see a space. The thing to lift up the cushion was especially difficult to screw in. It was easy to put together and didn't take long at all. The instructions were clear, and I didn't run into any issues during assembly. It's a cute little bench for an entryway or small space. I mainly wanted something to sit on while putting shoes on and to help keep things organized, and it does both. The cushion is comfortable enough, and the bench feels sturdy once assembled. The storage inside is actually bigger than I expected. I've been able to fit quite a bit in there, and I like that it's divided into sections so things don't just get thrown into one big pile. I also liked that it came with the matching wall shelf and hooks. It's nice for hanging bags, jackets, dog leashes, or whatever you need by the door. Together they make a nice little seating and storage area without taking up too much room. Overall, it's not a luxury piece of furniture, but for the price, I think it's a good buy.
